Life on the French-Spanish border

It’s only 13km to the border with Spain. The first small settlement you come to on the other side is Mollo, where we go to get our favourite wine at 1 euro a litre. Ask for details. Restaurants and local produce are definitely worth stopping for.

A further 15 minutes is Camprodon, a town that has been transformed in the last 10 years by the influx of wealthy Barcelonans, bringing with it the development of fine dining and clothing boutiques. A picturesque town and a must for all who stay with us.

Figueres is the next major town and also home to the Dali museum. Details in English can be found from the official museum site by clicking here It is about an hour and a half to Figueres, so an early start if you plan to return the same day.
